We have a number of rough-cut pine beams / posts for sale:
Species | Dimension (inches) | Length (feet) | Number Available | Price per Piece |
---|---|---|---|---|
Pine | 6 x 6 | 8 | 15 | $25 |
Pine | 8 x 8 | 8 | 3 | $40 |
Pine | 8 x 8 | 12 | 12 | $70 |
All 8 foot long beams have been air drying since at least Mar / Apr 2023; the 12 foot long beams have been air drying since Oct / Nov 2022.
The actual length of most beams is approximately 6 inches longer than the listed length (e.g. 8 foot -> approx. 8'6"); a few of the 8-foot beams are 8'2".
The indicated height x width is the size when milled; the actual size will be slightly less due to shinkage during drying; normally about 1/8 - 1/4 inch. For example, the actual size of a 6 x 6 beam will be approximately 5 3/4+" x 5 3/4+".
We have 500+ board feet (100 pieces) of rough-cut pine 2x4's (8 foot long) that were milled in early April 2024 and have been stacked for drying ever since; the moisture content of most pieces is currently under 20%. The actual length of each piece is about 8ft 2 inches. $425 will get you the entire stack (without the stickers!).
We also have 500+ board feet of rough-cut mixed-width 2x material (8 feet long) that were milled in early August 2024 and is now stacked for drying. The piece count for each width of this stack is: 2x4 - 22, 2x5 - 3, 2x6 - 21, 2x7 - 16, and 2x8 - 7. The price of this lumber is $400.

Please check back from time to time, as we hope to continue to add functionality (and products!) to this website as time permits. We are a small operation that responsibly harvests all the timber we use from our own farm property, as well as milling the logs on site with our Wood-Mizer sawmill. We welcome your suggestions on anything, particularly if there are beam / lumber dimensions we do not currently have on hand but you would like to see.
We are located in a very rural area of central Mississippi about 6 miles northeast of Raleigh -- an hour and a quarter drive from Jackson or Meridian, and slightly longer from Hattiesburg.
